Grant is the 3rd
generation of a ranch and rodeo family that first homesteaded and raised
cattle in Colorado in the 1800’s.
Grant started preaching cowboy church services for the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys in 1974, the year the ministry was founded. For the last six years he has served as president of the FCC and has preached at most of the major rodeos including the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, The National Western Stock Show & Rodeo in Denver, The San Antonio Rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, etc. He also leads and preaches at nightly services at the Thomas and Mack Arena as well as Sunday Cowboy Church services at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. Grant has preached in 49 of the states and 15 foreign countries.
Rodeo Bible Camps, where youth come for rodeo instruction and to hear the gospel, fill a number of weeks of Grant’s summer.
He has appeared on many radio and television programs, and concert stages with such as Waddie Michel, Baxter Black, Don Edwards, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Sons of the San Joaquin, Kathy Mattea, Al Denson, and many more. He has also done a TV special with Dale Evans, and preaches a cowboy church service at Westfest for Michael Martin Murphy.
Grant is an active member of the Working Ranch Cowboy Association and has preached at all their World Championship Finals in Amarillo, Texas.
